Our Varsity Softball team had an amazing regular season, closing with a record of 11 wins and 3 losses. This year was really supposed to be a rebuilding year since the team lost half their starters from the seniors graduating last year.
With that being said, they really turned the mindset around from the beginning of the season. The team demonstrated very good teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the season. From good defensive plays in the field to powerful hitting, our student-athletes brought their absolute best to every game and made it work.
The communication on the field this year was immaculate with all the girls getting along so well and just always trying to pick others up when they were putting themselves down. Lots of girls even took on new positions this season that they have never played before and performed so well at them.
It was a really good group of girls; they essentially became like sisters over the 3 months. Overall, the dedication from each player was shown so well all season long with seniors all the way to freshman wanting to work harder everyday to understand and learn the game to the best of their abilities.
