Academy of American Studies has international trips for students 10th-12th through an organization called EF (Education First) Tours. These trips help kids learn about other cities, cultures, languages and go to iconic sight-seeing spots during school breaks. In recent years, the school has given students the opportunity to go to countries like Spain and Italy, and this year, students got the chance to tour five countries, seeing cities Berlin, Prague, Budapest, and Krakow in the process.
According to EF tours, “travel is for everyone. When students go beyond the classroom, it brings education to life, unlocks new potential, and opens a world of possibilities. That’s why we prioritize safety, value, and the kind of learning that prepares students for the future and their futures.”

Senior Mattan Rechany attended this year’s ten day trip and he said, “The trip was a great opportunity to see five different European countries with my friends from school. I wish we had more free time but I’m grateful for the opportunity to see all these places.”
Senior Ella Cohen reminisced about the 2024 Spain trip, saying, “My experience going to Spain was really good. I have never traveled to a different country before so being able to experience a different culture and way of life was so cool and I had so much fun.”
English teacher and trip chaperone Mr. Guilford said these trips give students an “opportunity to see people and food and cultures that they may not have otherwise. Also, a chance to grow as an individual outside of the comfort of home and family.”
