The TV series “The Pitt” (2025) is a medical-based show starring Noah Wyles, who plays Dr. Robinavitch. “The Pitt” is filmed in an intense and real-time way. Each episode in the show represents an hour in a 15-hour shift. The show also delves into issues many hospitals across the United States face, those being underfunding, long wait times, overcrowding and understaffing. These problems are all demonstrated in “The Pitt,” which could potentially help viewers understand the challenges hospitals and workers face on a day-to-day basis.
Throughout the show, we are presented with a variety of severe cases. Actors like Patrick Ball, who plays Dr. Langdon, are different from other cast members and stand out through their mix of emotional complexity, lying and problematic situations he gets himself stuck in because of his life and job. This demonstrates a clear example of the pressure that doctors in the real world can feel. One factor of the show that was generally dislikable was the feeling that high-stake situations occurred way too fast and almost felt forced—like there was a crisis every other minute.
Though the show is relatively new and has been out for less than a year, it is still an enjoyable and great watch. Fans can now watch the new season of “The Pitt,” which premiered in January 2026 with the addition of new crew members and plot.
